I've had enough of putting off doing good. Even as a student, every year I can improve the lives of over a million broiler chickens in our atrocious animal agriculture industry.

Because we all deserve a decent life and people who care for the wellbeing of others.

Because I believe the world can be a better place for every living being when we care for others and take efficient action.

My money beyond the amount needed for some basic means and reasonable comforts will go way farther if it went to organizations dedicated to maximizing impact per dollar.

Because I'm well aware that I'm privileged and millions in our world aren't, and a small effort from my side can make a big difference for someone in need.

This is because i'm passionate about charitable works.

It feels wrong to spend money on trivial gains for myself rather than preventing a lot of needless suffering in others. Taking the pledge is commitment that I will live closer to this ideal.

I am now in a financially stable position and believe that I have the opportunity to also help others through financial donations.

I feel that I have an obligation to give back whatever I can.

It is apart of my heritage to give and I see it as my investment in humanity. These are the funds G-d provided me with to help others and that duty is a joy.

I was told about this by my brother. I was convinced to take the pledge through his persistent effort.

I have limited options to engage locally with the causes I want to help with. But I can at least use some of the money I'm earning to help people in a meaningful way.

This is super important. I’ve benefitted and been able to do work as a result of charitable causes. Helping people how I can is part of my future

I believe that income redistribution is essential. As part of the top 10% it is a pleasure and a duty giving part of my income to people who need it most.

I have been given so much by this world. i would like to give some back. in honor of my parents and family.

Because I am becoming increasingly aware of my privilege and the jackpot I won by being born in a lucky part of the world. I want to be more structured, purposeful and habitual with my impact.

Basically, my wife and I have a larger pension income than we need to cover our outgoings.

Governments are neglecting their collective responsibility to care for humanity and the ecosystems it depends upon. When this happens, the responsibility falls to individuals to do what they can.

I read Peter Singers "Animal Liberation Now" and can not accept - with good continuous - live my life without doing something about it.
